A pivotal milestone is being revealed today. Forward Training Center is launching our first off-campus satellite at Premier High School. The curriculum will be modeled after our Powered for Life (PFL) Youth Program, which is currently being taught to the students at STARS Accelerated High School at our home campus.  

The impact of reaching youth in their formative years between the ages of 13-18 will develop character building and work ethic, which will equip them to make better choices in career paths. Our classes are designed to instill worth in our students by focusing on their unique skills and talents.  

Here is a business owner’s success story from their first-hand experience with the PFL graduates: 

“One of the blessings of being a business owner in Granbury is being introduced to the Forward Training Center.  As a business owner, I learned early on the importance of mentoring when it came to developing our own team of employees. Sharing many of the same passions at the center, we were invited to make a small contribution of time and join in making a difference in the lives of young people of Hood County.  This investment has allowed us to connect with three young men. Over the past couple of months, we have had the privilege of hiring Franky Rodriquez, Rafael De La Rosa, and J.J. Silva in our ongoing apprentice program.  Bringing on these three young men has been exciting for us as we continue to look to the future and the Granbury marketplace. 

While all three have been uniquely prepared for graduation and entering our workspace, Franky stands out.  Introducing him to our most challenging lead guy was met with success.  Franky stepped up with a great attitude and work ethic and met all our expectations.  Due to his success, he has already had his first raise and is on his way (to) many more over the next couple of years. We are grateful to be connected to the Forward Training Center and look forward to many more success stories in the years to come!

Nov. 16 — Dr. Calvin Lawrence will be speaking on “Blessed Be the Tie That Binds” bridging gaps between families, businesses, and communities. calvinlawrencespeaks.net 

Dec. 8 5:30 p.m. — La Bella Luna “It’s a Wonderful Life” Gala. Hosted by Hotel Lucy and catered by Hard Eight Barbeque. An evening of fine dining and superb entertainment featuring our award-winning Granbury High School Choir presenting a beautiful Christmas program.
