Stem Ecosystem brings conferencing technology to higher level

“Most of today’s work is hybrid work, with a large part of the workforce working ‘from home’ or ‘from anywhere.’ This makes online conferencing technology critical. But when video fails, the conference can go on—as long audio keeps working,” said Tia de Guzman, marketing communications manager of Audiophile Components, Inc., an audio equipment distribution company founded by her musician-father, now celebrating 41 years in business.

“This is why speakerphones are super-important,” said De Guzman. “Yet, it takes more than a speakerphone to solve conference room audio challenges for any room. It takes a fully customizable audio ecosystem, like Shure’s Stem Ecosystem, which is actually composed of six subsystems,” added the executive of the Philippine company that exclusively distributes Shure, an audio technology brand founded in 1925 in Chicago and currently headquartered in Niles, Illinois, U.S.A.

Stem Hub, a part of the Stem Ecosystem, gives users several connectivity options: pluggable terminal blocks, USB Type B, Ethernet, Dante and VoIP

The Stem Wall subsystem—equipped with 15 microphones that perform real beam-forming, plus full-range speakers and subwoofers—ensures everyone in the conference room has a voice.

Optimized for tabletops and flat surfaces, the Stem Table subsystem is equipped with nine microphones that perform real beam-forming and a downward-facing speaker for optimal performance.

Stem Ceiling is a 100-microphone ceiling array that comes with two mounting options (low profile or chandelier mode) and three-beam options for exceptional coverage in any meeting room.

Stem Speaker is a PoE+ (Power over Ethernet+) powered external speaker with three mounting options and a powerful driver for exceptional sound in any meeting room.

When more than one device is used in a room, Stem Hub becomes the brains of the operation. Hub enables multiple units in a room to communicate with each other to function as an ecosystem. With USB Type B, Ethernet, Dante, VoIP connectivity, and pluggable terminal blocks, Hub covers all bases.

Stem Control is a dedicated touch controller that connects to your network with a single Ethernet connection. Control allows you to access the Stem ecosystem platform to remotely manage your organization or can be used as an in-meeting controller with your favorite video conferencing platforms.

“In simple terms, Stem allows customers to have studio-quality sound for every meeting without any expert’s help,” explained de Guzman, who added that the Stem Ecosystem is available only at the Audiophile store in Festival Mall in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

“With Stem, you have the freedom to mix and match Ceiling, Table, Wall and Speaker to meet your needs for every room,” added the youthful executive. “It not only provides users with the freedom to customize rooms, but the technology’s no-programming approach saves time and money, too. Users can outfit conference venues with great audio while staying within budget. And the great news is the Stem Ecosystem is compatible with leading video conferencing platforms and collaboration technologies.”
