Rajat Patidar: The young cricketing star who used the IPL platform very well
The Indian League or the IPL often serves as a platform for young cricketers to showcase their talent. Ever since its inception in 2008, IPL has made many cricketers, who were playing locally, household names. The most recent success story spawned by the IPL has been that of Rajat Patidar.

While the twenty-eight year old cricketer, who hails from Madhya Pradesh, was fortunate enough to get a spot in Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajat deserves credit for putting in a lot of hard work and making very good use of the platform given to him.

Patidar was chosen to be a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore last year. Though there were talks about him inducted into the team of Kolkata Knight Riders, he was finally roped in by RCB. Rajat showed a lot of promise in the conditioning camp that lasted for four days and received a lot of appreciation from Sanjay Bangar, batting consultant with RCB. In the practice games, too, he was able to perform very well and give a good account of himself as a cricketer. Unfortunately, Rajat couldn’t live up to the expectations one had from him during the main matches.

IPL 2022, however, has proved to be very lucky for him. Rajat has played an important role in the kind of success RCB has enjoyed this season. Many noticed his extraordinary talent when he led his team to victory in the sensational match against Lucknow Super Giants. Virat Kohli has been believed to be highly supportive of Patidar as he sees a certain spark in him which is rare.

Patidar has proved his mettle as a cricketer in multiple matches and even when the IPL season is over, one is pretty sure that his performances and scores will be discussed extensively in the inner circles of the cricketing world.
