Knight Frank appoints James Orchard as Partner

Knight Frank has made two senior appointments, as the property consultancy looks to grow its landlord project management offering. Partner James Orchard joins from CBRE, while Associate Camillo Degregorio arrives from Chestertons.

James Orchard joins the project and building consultancy team of Knights Frank. As a Partner, he will advise clients on all aspects of property and asset management, including sustainable refurbishment, tenant engagement and smart enablement. With extensive experience in complex retrofit instructions and office project management initiatives, he will also leverage his expert knowledge to build the team’s capacity to advise clients on each stage of complex projects, from pre-acquisition due diligence through to the execution of value-add strategies and disposal.

Craig Frost, Head of Project Management at Knight Frank, commented on the appointment, “Landlord and Cat A project management is an increasingly important area of growth for the team, reflecting the potential for sustainable refurbishment projects and long-term asset management initiatives to deliver strong returns for investors. The expansion of our project management function has been instrumental in strengthening our capacity to fulfil the needs of clients, and James’ appointment will further bolster the variety and quality of services we provide. I am excited to welcome him to the team.”

Prior to joining Knight Frank, Orchard spent six years as a Senior Director at CBRE. There, he helped drive the growth of the refurbishment and repositioning service line for its project management team, leading on business development and project delivery initiatives. Before this, Orchard also spent a decade with Colliers International, focusing on the delivery of high-profile refurbishment and fit-out projects across the UK.

Orchard added, “Knight Frank is an industry leader in whole-life project and building advisory services. In light of landlords and investors’ heightened focus on sustainable refurbishment and awareness of the important of asset management in retaining occupiers and supporting leasing, I am thrilled to be joining a dedicated, like-minded team of experienced industry experts in the project management field. I look forward to working with the team and supporting its continued delivery of high-value outcomes for clients.”

Camillo Degregorio meanwhile has joined Knight Frank’s Richmond residential lettings team. As the new Head of Lettings in the office, he will lead the Richmond team of negotiators to build the firm’s market share in the area.

Before coming to Knight Frank, Degregorio oversaw the SW11 area with property management firm Chestertons – where he worked his way up to become Associate Director. Before that, he began his career with the Battersea office of Foxtons, in 2010.

Speaking on the incoming Associate, Regional Partner Mel Constantinou said, “Camillo joins with over 10 years of experience and a fantastic track record, and we look forward to seeing him bring his industry knowledge and enthusiasm to drive our lettings business in Richmond forward.”

Knight Frank is a property advisory which has been helping clients make the most of this developing situation. Its healthcare property team now advises on £12 billion of assets annually, and its consultants advise the majority of the UK’s leading operators, funds, investors and lenders in the sector.
