Experimenting with TikTok
We’ve previously written about how your business could make money on TikTok, but now the app may be able to help with your recruitment campaigns too.
Larger restaurant chains are using the social media platform to combat staff shortages. The Caterer recently reported that a TikTok campaign from Buzzworks Holdings drove hundreds of applications for front-of-house roles. While other restaurants are using it for brand awareness.
Posting creative videos on TikTok could be a worthwhile recruitment strategy if your small business already has an active social media presence. With 40 per cent of Gen Z preferring to search for content on TikTok over Google, you may be able to reach a younger audience looking for experience in front-of-house jobs.
This can be a slow process depending on the size and reach of your business. But if you have the time, TikTok can be a low-cost way to show your brand identity, delicious dishes, and latest vacancies.
