Helpdesk for entrepreneurs taken to Panchayat level in Kozhikode, Kerala

Kozhikode, Aug 4 (KNN) To support small business ideas of aspiring entrepreneurs a help desk has been set up in Kodiyathur panchayat in Kozhikode city of Kerala.

It offers free technical support to entrepreneurs who have ideas and innovations to start small industries and projects.

The Kerala Industries Department has appointed a team of trained coordinators and interns that will assist and clarify all the doubts of the entrepreneurs and help them with timely completion of formalities.

It will also have the responsibility to implement various Central and State schemes to promote small industrial ventures.

Speaking during its inaugural, Panchayat president V. Shamloolath said, “Registration and related work under the Udyam scheme for micro, small and medium enterprises would be given to the help desk for better result.”

“We would like to minimise formalities for launching industrial ventures at all levels. Since the help desk services are free, we are sure that young entrepreneurs will seek them,” she added.

Across the state similar help desks have been established to support entrepreneurs.  (KNN Bureau)
