Prayagraj: Vice Chancellor of Allahabad University, Prof Sangita Srivastava on Monday took a class of the BSc 1st year students at the Family and Community Sciences Department. She told students about the importance of becoming economically self-dependent through education. She also stressed on the fact that each student can become an entrepreneur. To this end, the main focus has to be on practical rather than theory.
“The students should not limit their practical knowledge to the university labs” said VC adding, “They should try to practice at home whenever possible to hone their skills”, she added. She also advised them to check AICTE website to attend the various courses offered on the digital platforms. She also encouraged students to hone their public speaking and communication skills as these are crucial for any success career. Shesaid that university offers courses in eight languages.
The students should join these courses and get acquainted with not just Hindi and English but more than two languages to be prepared to become global citizens. tnn
