The Bradford Area Alliance concentrates on strategic solutions that increase our economic viability and resilience through collective impact and collaboration with the many economic development professionals and partners in our area, region, and state. Smith will be working closely with Bradford’s OECD office, the County Economic Development, and North Central to assist these businesses. He is available to assist any business or entrepreneur in McKean County with special focus on businesses that are located in the City of Bradford, Townships of Bradford, Foster, Corydon and Lafayette, as well as Lewis Run borough.

Julie Marasco, Alliance president stated “Of the Alliance’s many initiatives, a key focus is on creating new and expanding existing local businesses as part of an overall strategy in building out an entrepreneur ecosystem in our county. Hiring Christian Smith gives us additional capacity to accomplish more, and we are excited that he has joined us.”

Smith will be working with entrepreneurs and small business owners in the community to connect them with applicable resources and partners to help them reach their business goals. Smith is immediately assisting anyone interested in starting a new business or expanding an existing business with participation in the 2022 Harvey L. Golubock Business Competition.

When talking about the opportunity, Smith said, “Bradford has a lot of opportunity and I see a bright future for Bradford. I am excited to get involved and see that vision become a reality. More than anything I want entrepreneurs in the area to know that I am a readily available resource. I will do everything I can to help them reach their goals.”
