Another Prime Day? Amazon Makes a Big Early Holiday Announcement

Amazon has revealed the dates for a new two-day global shopping event exclusive to Prime members, known as the Prime Early Access Sale. It’s basically another Prime Day but right ahead of Black Friday.

This kind of promotion, if it’s anything like Prime Day itself, could be a late-year boon for small business sellers on Amazon.

Amazon Announces a Prime Early Access Sale for Oct. 11-12

The event will begin at midnight PDT on October 11, and finish 48 hours later on October 12. Prime members will gain exclusive early access to holiday deals for brands like Peloton and New Balance, as well as take advantage of the lowest prices of the year on select products from brands like Caudalie, Murad, and Philips Sonicare.

First Ever ‘Top 100’ List

Amazon will also be introducing the first-ever Top 100 list which will feature a special selection of some of the best deals from brands including Hasbro, iRobot, KitchenAid, and Samsung.

Select Fire TV smart televisions will have up to 80% off for Prime members during the event, and there will more savings to be made on Alexa-enabled devices. Other top brands offering big savings for the event include LEGO, adidas, Furbo, and Ashley Furniture.

Deep Discounts and Exclusive Benefits

The vice president of Amazon Prime, Jamil Ghani, expanded on the event, saying: “We are so excited to help Prime members kick off the holiday season with Amazon’s new Prime Early Access Sale – an exclusive opportunity for members to get deep discounts on top brands we know they are looking for this time of year. And members can start enjoying exclusive Prime benefits and offers now, plus find gift ideas for the family with our holiday gift guides and this year’s Toys We Love list.”

Availability and Participation

The Prime Early Access Sale event will take place in 15 countries including Austria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the UK, and the United States.

Current Prime members are already eligible, but non-members can participate by signing up to Amazon Prime now or by starting the 30-day free trial.
