KARACHI: Katalyst Labs Founder and CEO Jehan Ara said on Saturday events like +92Disrupt, an innovation conference, are integral to the future of Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, she said the goal of Katalyst Labs, a Karachi-based startup accelerator that helps early-stage startups scale, has always been to facilitate the doers of the country.
The conference, which has been taking place since 2017, brings local and international investors’ interest to Pakistan and helps bolster the local startup and entrepreneurship ecosystem. Across the two events in Lahore and Islamabad, the conference attracted 600-plus participants, brought together 100-plus speakers, garnered over 3,500-plus impressions and mentored 80-plus startups, a press release said.
The Karachi edition of the two-day conference will provide the youth of Karachi with unprecedented professional and networking opportunities, it said.
Seen as a meeting place for local and international investors, the investors’ roundtable has made a return to the agenda, bringing the who’s who of the investment landscape to the same table to eliminate funding roadblocks, it added.
