Technology Minerals PLC said Monday that its 49%-owned battery-recycling business Recyclus has received approved battery treatment operator status from the U.K.’s Environmental Agency for its site in England.
The battery-metals company said that the approval means it can start manual lead-acid battery recycling processes at the site in Tipton. The authorization means it can produce up to 15,000 metric tons of lead a year from the recycling of lead-acid batteries.
Shares in Technology Minerals at 0718 GMT were up 0.10 pence, or 4.8%, at 2.20 pence.
