The Golden State Warriors have been the NBA’s most dominant franchise over the past eight years, and they’re showing no signs of slowing down.
After winning the 2022 NBA title, the Warriors have now claimed four championships since the start of the 2014-15 season.
But they’re certainly hungry for more, and they’ll look to continue their dominance in the 2022-23 campaign.
Perhaps the most impressive part of where the Warriors stand right now is the fact that they have a handful of veteran superstars in addition to plenty of young talent.
In other words, they’re in great shape for both the present and future.
On Wednesday, Golden State made another notable move with the future in mind, as the team signed former lottery pick Jerome Robinson to a deal.

Will he end up being the team’s latest success story?
High Ceiling
Robinson was a lottery pick for a reason.
The guard was taken with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers after a stellar career at Boston College.
Unfortunately, his first few NBA seasons didn’t go as planned.
He didn’t seem like an ideal fit with the Clippers, and after they traded him to the Washington Wizards in 2020, he struggled to get his footing there as well.
He hasn’t appeared in an NBA game since the 2020-21 season, but last season, he turned some heads during his time with the Santa Cruz Warriors in the G League.
For the season, he averaged 20.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per contest while shooting 44.8 percent from the field and 32.5 percent from deep.
While those numbers are solid, they don’t tell the whole story, as he was an even better player when he was in the starting lineup.
As a starter, he averaged 23.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game while shooting 46.0 percent from the field and 34.0 percent from beyond the arc.
He clearly did enough to get Golden State’s attention, as the team is going to give him a shot to prove that he belongs in the NBA.
Low Risk, High Reward
It makes a lot of sense for the Warriors to take a chance on Robinson.

He clearly has what it takes to be a productive player, and the Warriors would surely love nothing more than to add another talented youngster to their roster.
On the other hand, if it doesn’t work out, Golden State probably won’t lose any sleep.
It’s not like the team is taking a huge gamble here.
But all involved parties are certainly hoping for a good outcome, and it’ll be a fun storyline for Warriors fans to follow throughout camp.
The Warriors have a plethora of talented guards that Robinson can learn from, and he’ll definitely soak up as much wisdom from them as he possibly can.
With any luck, he’ll enter the 2022-23 season on Golden State’s roster.
