Hi, I am currently on a Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa that is expiring next Thu (02 Feb).
Due to work, I am currently located out in Asia.
I have two options:
(PLAN A) Return to UK and apply for ILR on Super Priorty service
(PLAN B) Remain in Asia and extend my Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa
My list of questions:
- Do I have to apply for either while my current visa is valid or can I do so only after it has expired?
- Is it okay for my visa to lapse with intension to reapply later? What implications are there?
- If my visa lapses, what are my next steps in order to continue working in the UK?
- Discretionary application:
- Has anyone have experience with this and under what conditions?
- How long did it take to achieve an answer?
- Any issues including delays, wait times or rejections?
- When is the last date that I need to arrive in the UK to apply for ILR?
- Can I arrive on Wed (01 Feb) and then apply on that day itself?
- Where is the best location to submit my ILR application for the shortest wait for biometrics? I am usually based in London.
- What is the usual wait time for a biometrics appointment?
