KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Women on their way to becoming leaders in business had a chance to meet and connect with one another in Knoxville on Tuesday.

A local group, “Women in Entrepreneurship,” hosted the event. It was also organized by the Knoxville Entrepreneurship Center, and during the event, women had a chance to network and learn how to best improve their businesses.

Volunteers at the event also said Knoxville is one of the best places for people who want to start their own businesses.

“The Entrepreneur Center is part of an ecosystem that has been intentionally built by institutions and the local government and the state of Tennessee,” said Booth Andrews, a volunteer coordinator of the event. “Built intentionally to make sure Knoxville is the most entrepreneur-friendly city in America. We believe we can change lives through entrepreneurship.”

The Women in Entrepreneurship group gathers once per month to discuss their businesses and share tips.
