Rise Southern Biscuits & Righteous Chicken is opening in San Diego via an agreement with franchisee Jason Kasid, who has spent over 25 years operating a family business in the convenience store industry. He plans to open at least five Rise locations with potential sites in downtown San Diego, Mission Valley, Pacific Beach and the SDSU college area.
“Rise has developed an operating model that allows entrepreneurs like me the opportunity to own an easy to operate business with the full training, marketing and operational support from the corporate team,” Kasid said in a company press release. “I’m excited to bring the nation’s most in-demand chicken and biscuit concept to the San Diego market.”
Rise has 17 restaurants in seven states and over 100 units in development.
“So excited to welcome Jason to the Rise family and partner with him to grow our tech-enabled concept rooted in Southern food, hospitality and culture in a market like San Diego, where we know it will thrive,” Rise CFO Ken Priest said in the release. “Jason knows how to run a successful business and is the ideal franchisee to make Rise a SoCal success story.”
