Hatfield entrepreneur named one of the most inspiring female founders

A Hatfield woman has been named one of the UK’s most inspirational and dynamic female entrepreneurs by the ‘f:Entrepreneur #ialso100’ campaign.

Gouri Kubair, the managing director of Holy Lama Naturals, was profiled alongside 100 female entrepreneurs from across the country, as part of the campaign to celebrate the achievements of women running businesses in the UK.

This comes soon after the business had been selected as one of the SmallBiz 100 companies in 2022.

Gouri Kubair is in the third generation of the family that pioneered the essential oils industry in India.

Holy Lama Naturals sells products that extracts natural oils from herbs, spices, flowers and fruits for use in an ethical body care range and a vegan range of food flavourings called Spice Drops. Welwyn Hatfield Times: Holy Lama Naturals products by managing director, Gouri Kubair.Holy Lama Naturals products by managing director, Gouri Kubair. The f:Entrepreneur campaign was launched in 2017 to raise greater awareness of the impact of female business owners across the country and inspire the wider small business community.

The campaign line-up sets out to showcase trailblazing female founders who lead businesses alongside a roster of other responsibilities, such as volunteering, mentoring and community support.

Gouri said: “I feel very honoured to have been selected as one of the f:Entrepreneurs and I’m really looking forward to being able to learn from the experiences of the other women in the f:Entrepreneur family as well as to help others.

“I have to admit though, that the success of Holy Lama Naturals, and my other enterprises, is a team effort and is not just down to me so I’d like to thank everyone involved, both in the UK and in India, and my husband and children who support me – this award is for all of you!”

Many of the businesses featured in this year’s campaign also demonstrate a commitment to championing diversity and inclusion, as well as promoting sustainability.

Both f:Entrepreneur and Small Business Britain were founded by Michelle Ovens CBE, who said: “Congratulations to Gouri and each of the talented female entrepreneurs featured in this year’s #ialso100.

“It is so vital that we recognise and celebrate the phenomenal contribution that women running businesses are making across the UK, and the far-reaching, positive impact they are having, not just on the economy, but on wider communities too.”
