Trello Pricing Plans (2022 Guide) – Forbes Advisor

Trello offers four tiers starting with a free plan. Each plan is priced per user. For example, the Standard plan is $50 per month, per user. If a company has five users on the plan the total will be $25 per month. Every plan comes with unlimited Power-Ups (integrations) so that users can customize their experience to their individual needs. Plans also include Butler, Trello’s no-code automation tools that give users the ability to automate repetitive tasks and build workflow processes.

Free

Trello’s free plan offers all its core features. Without spending a dime, users can create unlimited cards on up to 10 boards. The free plan includes unlimited Power-Ups to customize the experience, unlimited storage with a maximum limit of 10 MB per file upload, custom backgrounds and unlimited activity logs. Users of the free plan can also automate their workflow with Butler. Butler allows users to create rules that will trigger action. For example, if someone creates a new card to a To-Do list, they can create a rule to add a steps checklist to the card automatically. The free plan includes 250 automation actions per month.

The free plan is ideal for individual entrepreneurs who need to organize their projects. The lack of a user limit makes it an option for small-to-medium-sized business (SMB) teams. However, the limits on file uploads and automations can push users into upgrading to a paid plan.

Standard

For $5 per month when billed annually―or $6 per month when billed monthly―Trello’s Standard plan includes everything in the free plan. The main advantage of the Standard plan is the use of unlimited boards that is ideal for large teams handling multiple projects at a time.

The Standard plan also helps maximize a team’s productivity potential with advanced checklists that break down tasks into bite-sized tasks, custom fields to customize information on the cards and a total of 1,000 automation actions per month. The plan also includes unlimited storage (250 MB/file), single board guests and saved searches.

Premium

For $10 per month when billed annually or $12.50 per month when billed monthly, Trello’s Premium plan includes the same unlimited cards, boards and activity logs, but adds multiple ways to view a project. The dashboard view adds real-time insights and the ability to communicate your team’s progress in a visual way. The timeline view lets project managers plan projects, oversee every sprint and see how all the moving parts fit together. The workspace table view allows users to view projects in a spreadsheet-style list that can be sorted and filtered to drill down while the calendar view displays start dates, due dates and advanced checklist items.

This plan also unlocks unlimited Butler functionality so there is no need to conserve any commands on your mundane tasks. Custom Fields allows users to add more context to their work by keeping essential information on the front of cards and the advanced checklists help streamline big projects by breaking tasks down to a more granular level. Users can also manage content and users with stricter privacy settings and stronger permissions.

Enterprise

Finally, Trello offers an Enterprise plan aimed at corporations that need to connect work across teams with more security and controls. The plan costs $17.50 per user, per month, when billed annually. This cost is the estimated cost for 25 users. In addition to everything in the Premium plan, the Enterprise plan includes unlimited workspaces, multiboard guests and access to hundreds of Power-Ups, such as Slack, Confluence, Google Drive and Dropbox.

The Enterprise plan gives administrators more organizational control to keep sensitive information private by restricting attachments, managing access individual, board-specific or company-wide levels and leverage one central Admin Dashboard to manage permission settings and security.

Trello offers a free trial for those who want to try out the platform. The 14-day free trial of the Premium plan does not require a credit card and can be canceled anytime in the first two weeks.
